As a guest of the local Batswana community you travel the reed and papyrus
lined waterways in a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe), winding your way to
a forested island. Listen to the bird calls and the tinkling of the reed frogs as
you walk with your mokoro guide to discover the local plant and animal life
both large and small. Share local stories in the evenings as you sit fireside
beneath a blanket of Okavango stars. Noted as the world's largest inland
delta and respected as one of nature's most rewarding quiet wild areas, the
Okavango Delta is a gift not to be missed.
We run mokoro trips ranging from one to four days, for up to six people.
Larger groups can be organised but require prior arrangement.
For our self-catered mokoro trips you need to take your own food and
equipment with you.
We also offer flying into the Okavango Delta and have a mokoro trip with
staying at a Island Lodge.
